MY BEST KEPT SECRET!
When performing magic went from hobby to profession, I needed a new hobby. Tree shaping caught my interest but I live in an apartment building. Duck herding was also atop the list but as I love to cook and I used to go to Pizzeria Due with fellow performers after gigs, I decided deep dish pizza making was the winner! With the help of the chef at the original Pizzeria Due, a couple of professional chef friends, a renowned pizza chef in NYC (yes New York!) and my more than willing taste testing family and friends, I perfected my deep dish pizza recipe.
In 2014 while at a friend's house waiting for one of my pizzas to bake (deep dish takes about 35min), I began doing card tricks to pass the time. On my way home that night I had my "AhHa!" moment and realized I could private chef dinner shows. Magic By The Slice was born!

Whether you're celebrating a milestone, hosting a gathering of friends or you want to show off your new home, I'll turn your kitchen into a pizzeria with my fancy schmancy deep dish pizzas (scroll down for the menu) but it doesn't stop there! I make 12" deep dish pizzas and serve them in half slices so your guests will have room to enjoy trying multiple flavor profiles.
Do you make your dough by hand?
No, I make it on the counter by the sink! Actually I finish my dough by hand to be sure I get the exact consistency I want. I can make it from start to finish by hand but stand mixers allow me to make multiple batches at one time.
Do you make gluten free pizza?
I never charge for the gluten ;)
Do you always use local and or organic ingredients?
